A lovely colonial home in Herndon, VA has been given a glamorous transformation. In this initial stage, we updated our clients’ foyer, powder room and sunroom. We also added some additional furnishings in other parts of the home to enhance what was already there. The sunroom was inspired by organic shapes and materials. There is a vintage Moroccan star-shaped table, custom smoky acrylic waterfall tables, and a gorgeous coffee table. The black and white theme allows the hints of dramatic color to take center stage. The dramatic chandelier is made of hand strung cocoa beads. In the foyer, we were inspired by our client’s vast collection of vintage Vogue magazine covers and love of glamorous fashion. One of the covers was chosen as a framed piece of art. The antique Louis XV bench shines under the glamorous organic-shaped mirror in the hallway. Iconic Schumacher Queen of Spain wallpaper, fresh updated lighting and a Stark carpet runner. The powder room was reimagined into a tiny jewel box. Woven silver and gold Thibault wallpaper on the walls compliment the silver Omexco wallpaper on the ceiling. An updated mirror and lighting, as well as faucet give even more sparkle to this once forgotten space. Currently, we are moving into the second phase of the renovation which is focused on the primary bedroom and bathroom. We look forward to sharing the rest of the project with you!
